This Privacy Statement explains how Jane O’Connor Counselling ("I", "me", "my") collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit janeoconnor.net (the "Website"), in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018.

Please only share what you're comfortable including in an unencrypted form submission. You don't need to disclose any clinical details to make an enquiry.

I do not use your data for marketing and I do not sell your personal data to anyone.

4. How Long I Keep Your Data

  • Contact form enquiries: kept until the enquiry is resolved and a reasonable follow-up period has passed, then deleted, unless you go on to become a client, in which case data is retained in line with my professional and clinical record-keeping obligations (set out separately in my client privacy/consent information).

  • Analytics data: retained according to the default settings of Google analytics, after which it is automatically deleted or anonymised.

5. Who I Share Your Data With

I don't sell or rent your personal data. It may be shared with:

  • Squarespace to receive and store contact form submissions

  • Google Analytics to process website usage data

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including in the United States. Where this happens, I rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the provider's participation in a recognised data protection framework.
